How essential oils can help improve your working day
Nothing beats using essential oils every day. Whether at home or in the office, diffusing essential oils does you a world of good and the positive effects quickly make themselves felt.Today, with well-being at the forefront of our concerns, essential oils really come into play.
What is a diffused essential oil?
Essential oil is defined as: "a set of volatile aromatic substances that will be inhaled through the nose and captured by our olfactory receptors. These aromatic molecules will act on our brain, in direct connection with our memory and our emotions. Thus, fragrances are capable of provoking measurable physiological effects in us, such as modification of the levels of hormones that regulate the appetite, insulin production, stress level, concentration, temperature etc."*
The inhaled and absorbed essential oils will therefore influence our emotions and behaviour. It is simply olfactory aromatherapy. They are diffused using an electric diffuser.
Why use essential oils at work?
Each essential oil contains more than 200 active substances. This means that they boast a string of benefits that soothe our everyday ills. Essential oils are used to purify and clean the air, to boost our concentration and fight against fatigue, to protect ourselves from infections that affect our close circle (family, colleagues, etc.), to relax after a long day of work, to give us a good night’ sleep etc. In just a few minutes, they give us a positive outlook!
